It was founded in 1837 by Jacques Telesphore Roman, brother of the governor of Louisiana.<br \/>Avec son manoir d'avant la guerre civile et ses dix acres environnants, Oak Alley appartient maintenant \u00e0\nune organisation \u00e0 but non lucratif : Oak Alley Plantation Foundation.<\/p><p>Sa figure la plus distingu\u00e9e est l'immense all\u00e9e de ch\u00eanes plant\u00e9s au d\u00e9but du XVIIIe si\u00e8cle, qui est vraiment\n\u00e0 couper le souffle.<br \/>L'ancienne plantation est maintenant divis\u00e9e en un complexe r\u00e9sidentiel de 30 hectares qui entoure la\npropri\u00e9t\u00e9, 243 hectares sont lou\u00e9s pour la culture de la canne \u00e0 sucre et 182 hectares sont bois\u00e9s.<span style=\"color: var( --e-global-color-primary ); background-color:
